We are sorry to see you go! If you want to proceed with canceling your SamCart subscription, you can now do so right within your marketplace with our Self-Service Cancellation feature.
Self Service Cancellation
To cancel your account, log into your marketplace and head to your Billing page. To access your Billing page, click on the blue icon in the top right corner of the page and select Billing from the dropdown menu. Note - If you have a logo added within your marketplace, you will see that logo instead of the blue icon.

Once you are on the Billing page, locate the subscription that you would like to cancel under the Your Subscriptions section. Once you have found the subscription you would like to cancel, click on the Manage button.

Note: If you have more than one active subscription, you will need to cancel each subscription separately.
Once you select the Manage button, you will see a pop-up window with a few options: 
1. Pause My Subscription - Selecting this option will give you the option to Pause your subscription rather than fully canceling! Selecting this option will bring up a pop-up window where you can see what the Pause plan will do, and click Confirm and Pause if you would like to move forward. 
2. Modify My Subscription - Selecting this option will bring up a pop-up window that will allow you to automatically submit a request to our Billing Team to modify your subscription. Clicking the Submit My Request button will automatically send a message directly to our Billing Team, and a member of our Billing Team will reach out to discuss what changes you'd like to make to your subscription! 
3. Cancel My Subscription - Selecting this option will bring up a pop-up window with a brief survey about why you are cancelling. Select the reason that most aligns with why you are canceling, and click the Continue button:
There will be a final confirmation window that will tell you the exact date you will lose access to your marketplace if you cancel. If you would like to continue, click Confirm and Cancel.

After confirming that you would like to cancel, you will be taken back to the Billing Page where you will be able to see that your subscription has been successfully canceled. If you do not see this, refresh your Billing Page. 
Your subscription has now been successfully canceled!
Have Subscription Products?
If you have subscription products with active subscriptions on your SamCart marketplace when you cancel, please take note of what will happen with those subscriptions!
If you use the Stripe payment processor:
- Active recurring subscriptions, will only stop if you or the customer cancel their subscription, otherwise it will continue to bill normally even when the SamCart account is closed. Stripe manages these, so they can be managed directly from you connected Stripe account moving forward.
- Active limited subscriptions, such as payment plans that will end after a set number of payments are stopped immediately and will not continue to bill. This is because they are directly managed by SamCart itself, not your connected payment processor(s).
If you use a payment processor other than Stripe (PayPal, Braintree, Authorize.Net, etc.), charges for recurring and limited subscriptions are stopped right away upon the cancellation of your account.

Q: I changed my mind and want to keep my subscription.
A: It's not too late to revoke your scheduled cancellation! Please reach out to billing@samcart.com and we can remove your subscription cancellation.
Q: I canceled my subscription but would like a refund. What do I do?
A: To inquire about qualifying refunds for your SamCart subscriptions, please contact us at billing@samcart.com.
Q: I cancelled my subscription, but I'd like to reactivate. How can I do that?
